Blitz Overview

Future Blitz @ MICA partners with a local organization in Baltimore, MD to create real, positive impact. As a member of a small multidisciplinary team, you will apply the six practices of rapid ingenuity—Be Bold, Get Out, Think Wrong, Make Stuff, Bet Small, and Move Fast—to generate powerful solutions our partner organization can use, right now, to address a real world challenge they face. With this hands-on experience and the diverse expertise and guidance of Future and our collaborators, you will leave the Blitz equipped to apply the rapid ingenuity practices to accelerate positive change in your own communities, teams, and markets.

Who Should Apply

Future Blitz at MICA is designed for private sector, public sector, and social sector leaders who are tired of the status quo in their organizations, communities, markets, or industries. We welcome executives, directors, and changemakers who want to unlock their ingenuity—and the ingenuity of their teams, organizations, and partners. Participants come from a wide variety of disciplines and industries including leadership, management, finance, development, marketing, engineering, and design.

Participants in Future Blitz benefit from residing and learning in the unique art university setting offered by MICA. MICA has become an historic leader in the education of artists and designers by fostering a community of talented, creative individuals committed to redefining, expanding, and reinventing the boundaries of art and design.  In addition to its groundbreaking Masters Program of Social Design, MICA has recently expanded to offer a Design Leadership MBA, one of the nation’s first dual-degree MBA/MA programs.

 

 

Tuition

Tuition Amount:  $2,400.00

Program tuition includes instruction, materials, lodging, and dinner each night. Participants will be housed at Gateway, an iconic MICA building providing single-occupancy bedrooms in small suite-style apartments in the heart of the MICA campus and overlooking Baltimore, MD.
